Abortion access should not be based on: income, zip code, immigration status

Everyone deserves access to expert-provided abortion care, no matter who they are or where they're from — without barriers, and without delay. 💙

When abortion is banned or heavily restricted, people die. Every life taken by abortion bans is a devastating and *avoidable* tragedy.

Ciji Graham should still be alive today.

In health care, decisions should be guided by rigorous research, clinical expertise, and facts — not politics. This study underscores the importance of trusting evidence-based medicine. (2/2)

Some people may need to get tested more often. Your doctor or nurse will tell you which tests you need & how often you should get them. (3/3)

How often you get tested depends on age, medical history & the results of your last tests. In general:

-21–24 YO: Pap test every 3 yrs or wait until you’re 25 to start getting tested
-25–65 YO: HPV test every 5 yrs or a Pap & HPV test together every 5 yrs
-65+: You may not need tests anymore. (2/3)

When Planned Parenthood health centers are forced to close, patients don’t magically get care elsewhere. They lose access – full stop. Patients deserve better than deception – they deserve Planned Parenthood.

Let us be clear – when Planned Parenthood health centers close, patients lose access to real, comprehensive health care – including contraception and cancer screenings.

Most CPCs aren’t legitimate medical clinics, and use lies, shame and fear to manipulate patients at their most vulnerable moments.

Preparing for a wildfire or hurricane? Don’t forget water, documents — and your birth control. Few states include sexual and reproductive health supplies in emergency checklist recommendations, a new report finds.

The Center for Biological Diversity released a new report finding that most state emergency preparedness checklists fail to include basic sexual and reproductive health supplies.

Advocates and mutual aid groups are filling in the gaps.

This is cruelty, plain and simple. We’re holding our trans and nonbinary communities extra close today. 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵

This is a direct attack on expert providers who deliver medically necessary care for transgender and nonbinary patients.

The goal is clear: threaten doctors and health care providers with jail time to stop them from giving patients the life-saving and evidence-based health care they need. (1/2)

A screenshot of an NPR article with the header, "Fewer character on TV had abortions this year -- and more stories reinforced shame." There is a photo of a TV character who had an abortion below the header.

The portrayal of abortion in 2025 was a bit of a letdown, failing to capture the true diversity of the experience. Most abortion seekers are parents and use medication abortions, yet TV shows focused on non-parents, with a mere 8% depicting medication abortions. @npr.org @ulabeast.bsky.social
