East Bend library set to close Saturday - The Bulletin
After 15 years of serving east Bend, the Deschutes Public Library branch on Dean Swift Road will close Saturday.
More than 20,000 books and other materials have already been removed from shelves, moved for now to the Downtown Bend Public Library.
When the Central Library at Stevens Ranch opens in the spring all those materials will move there permanently, ready to be checked out.

Denison Public Library celebrates 90th anniversary, unveils new sculpture
The 90-year celebration wrapped up with a handful of speeches and the unveiling of a new sculpture.
What started as a small collection of just 300 books has grown into a key part of Denison’s history.
Today, there are more than 30,000 books at the library, and over a million literary materials available online.
