East Bend library set to close Saturday - The Bulletin After 15 years of serving east Bend, the Deschutes Public Library branch on Dean Swift Road will close Saturday.

More than 20,000 books and other materials have already been removed from shelves, moved for now to the Downtown Bend Public Library.

When the Central Library at Stevens Ranch opens in the spring all those materials will move there permanently, ready to be checked out.
