Are those structures on the way up other shrines?

Yeah, that one's really pricey! I've settled for English Electric Café and German Techno Pop so far.

The Fife Piper is remarkable in that even when pretty much centred it sounds hideously off centre. It reminded me of the kazoo and swanny whistle round if I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

Those Fame budget reissues could be really nice sounding records.

I quite fancy the French (and maybe Canadian?) issue of Computer World that has a Mini Calculateur on it but it's pricey.

It was before I knew much or anything about the Manson stuff. I don't really associate it with him, but that's certainly not going to make it any better.

Soft spot for What's Going On. I read about it being a good album but it took a while for it to click for me.

I find The White Album can have a creepy atmosphere to it sometimes - not just Revolution 9 - there's something about it in general.

I bought the German Radioaktivitat fancy remaster some years back only to find it was the same album with dual language (or more) vocals as the English titled album, which I got as a cheap Canadian or US pressing from HMV Oxford Street when I was getting back into new vinyl in the early 2000s.

I really like Student Demonstration Time! I know it's commonly disliked but I don't know why. I heard it entirely out of context with the album at school, in music class I think. Don't recall why.

Ooh, but which mix of the title track does it have?

I was aware of the Oxygene album in my youth. Various grown ups had it. The only ones I have as an adult are Radioactivity and the Jarre.

Lucy in the Sky was just around (may as well have been a single), Howard Jones had mentioned A Day In The Life in an interview as I recall, and I'm pretty sure She's Leaving Home had been played at school during music or drama, or something. Still like it a lot.

It hadn't clicked until just now, but Sgt. Pepper was probably a formative album for me too. I bought it off the back of the 20 years ago today campaign (TV documentary too?) and for the most part my teenage ears loved it. I'd already heard bits from my best friend's parents' copy... 1/2
