i think learning the fundamentals is like eating vegetables for me, i know it's good to have a strong foundation and make good habits but i also just wanna doodle and color

i also cannot wrap my head around using different shades of colors to give shapes form

i saw in a tutorial that if someone is standing outside in the daytime, the shadows of their skin turns bluer cus the sky counts as a light source. i wanna try learning how that kind of colored lights interact with colored surfaces

having some trouble learning how to draw heads so i thought id just trace over mita since the anime style proportions are probably easier to learn. then i got really into trying to do red lighting on her and wanted to see if i could figure that out intuitively (idk maybe).
