I love that you have a Chinese teacher now!!! I laughed because I immediately thought, "Aw, man, lucky! I wish *I* had a Chinese teacher." 😅 The desire to watch the show without needing subtitles is INSANELY STRONG. I just want to know *exactly* what is being said with no translation errors.

Oh God, I'm not even a full month in and I already know I'm never moving on. I've got like three language books/audios checked out from the library, have made a playlist of the soundtrack + all of Xiao Zhan & Wang Yibo's stuff that I've been listening to nonstop, and am reading the first novel now.

I legit almost woke my entire family jumping up in horror!!!! I definitely would have woke everyone up sobbing if that had been the ending!!!!!!

In truly unhinged fashion I glared at the clock when I released my desire to start over and do an immediate re-watch must be delayed until tomorrow. But rest assured, I'm *this close* to being completely insane about this show because it took a good five minutes of convincing myself I should wait.

I think it's very safe to say that I'm probably never going to recover from this show. I will never be able to speak or hear Mandarin ever again without thinking of The Untamed. Oh my gods. I'm honestly speechless. Wrecked beyond words. I need to own it and everything related to it immediately.

I will say that while fluent I will not be, I can already recognize a good handful of words and phrases as they're spoken in The Untamed, and that's pretty darn neat if you ask me. (Now if I can just find a better sub to rewatch than what Netflix has since it's truly terrible!)

If anyone knows of good Chinese (specifically Mandarin) audiobooks or programs specifically geared towards teaching English speaking kids I'd love to add them to our curriculum this year.

No one can ever tell me my binging habits are useless! I've started to learn Mandarin at age 33, and while I'll probably never be close to fluent, my kid just asked to listen to what I was listening to, and proceeded to copy all the tones/words almost perfectly. This kid never fails to impress me!
