These cuts will impact the most vulnerable in our community and we need to send a clear message to the Greens that our libraries should not be on the chopping block.🌹

You can also get job and interview training and very importantly, free Internet access for those who need it the most. Growing up, the library was a form of escapism and also a place to get my homework done!

Many people don't realise that libraries don't only let you borrow books but also movies and even newspapers! Most importantly you can also meet your local councillors there ;)

Community Information Sessions

The council are holding a series of community information sessions to inform people who are considering putting in Stage 1 forms about the CIL and S106 funds, what they are, and what needs to be considered in the Stage 1 form.

The deadline to submit all Stage 1 forms from your ward, signed off with ‘in principle’ support from your local councillors, is 28th February 2025. Please send to areacommittee5@bristol.gov.uk, as Frome Vale sits within Area Committee 5, along with Eastville, Hillfields, and Lockleaze wards.

I completely agree with Cllr Mohammed Malawi, why are these BT phone boxes being left in place when they are never used for their intended purpose? They are commonly used for drugs hot spots, public urination and vandalism. I'd much prefer a bench where people can sit and enjoy their communities.

I am really excited as the only Palestinian councillor in Bristol City Council to have had the opportunity to share my recent opinion piece reflecting on Palestine’s rich culture and the ongoing struggle for justice and peace.

Today for International Palestinian Solidarity Day, I wrote my first opinion piece for the Bristol 24/7!

This happened in Canada where they have now hit the point of legalising it for disabled people without terminal illness and it is actively being promoted which I think is plainly wrong. People with disabilities can live fulfilling lives if the government provides the necessary support for them.
