So I’m very good at recognizing that my nervous system is out of balance (like i’ll be like “oh, this random song has me SOBBING. My nervous system is def out of wack” but I’m not good at actually doing something after I recognize it. I just kinda just exist until it balances itself out again.

These 6 day weeks are killing me

I learned Spanish entirely by just speaking it at work and learning by trial and error and I am on my way to doing the same with Haitian Creole, which is exciting! it definitely helps that I know French already, of course, but it’s still yet another example that immersion works wonders.

occasionally I leave my lunch overnight because at some point in the day somebody mentions something much more appetizing and that was all my brain needed to ditch the packed lunch and spend money instead.

they turned on mandatory 6th days for the foreseeable future at work and unlike voluntary overtime which goes from the top of the seniority list down, involuntary overtime goes from the bottom up which means me with my measly 4 years will be working 6 days a week for the foreseeable future.
