That last play with Brunson taking it personally against the defender and over-dribbling has to stop. He gets so tunnel-visioned against good defenders—like he can’t help himself... smh! #Knicks

What’s concerning is Deuce’s level of play over the last couple of games. JC was inconsistent before his hot streak during the Cup games, and the bench has been just as flat as the starters. Overall, there really aren’t any bright spots right now.

To be fair, Kolek has been bad the last few games. His shooting has fallen off, & his assist-to-turnover ratio has gone the wrong way. There was even a possession last game where he got doubled on the sideline and nearly turned it over. Mitch has been the only player consistently playing well lately

To answer your question: I think the biggest factors were injuries. Also, every team that’s won the NBA Cup has fallen off afterward—it’s like coming down from an emotional high. Combine that with injuries, and you get the slump. Knicks are not shooting in rhythm. Too much dribbling.

They were gritty on the offensive end and made clutch shots to win. They were below average to bad on defense.
Now the shots are not falling for everyone on the team. Look at Deuce, Clarkson, Kolek, KAT and Brides?!
