I either use a hole punch or a rose burr or ball burr or diamond drill bits or core drill bits. For these I just used a 2mm drill bit I think.

Been tinkering with this one in my head for months - getting closer! 😁 Not sold on the bottom half but I like the top half and I think I like the leaves on the sides.
