No sentimentality here about the EU. Far-right parties are dangeorusly dividing it. But the new US Strategy clearly aims to fragment the block even further, destroying its ability to challege either creeping US-supported far-right ideology or Russia. The remaining democratic block needs support.

Oh yeah. That's the stuff.

While right-wing hate movements lean on racism and bigotry to whip up support, and political centrists are too squeamish to stand against them, it's great to see a politician like @zackpolanski.bsky.social who knows that immigration is essential, and an unambiguous good.

New York Times sues Hegseth over Pentagon press crackdown | CNN Business The lawsuit, set to be filed in federal court in Washington, DC, names the Defense Department, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the chief Pentagon spokesman, Sean Parnell, as defendants.

The NYTimes' suit against the DoD over press access restrictions is "the only way to put an end to the Trump administration’s multipronged assault on press freedom is for every news outlet to fight back at every opportunity," @trevortimm.bsky.social says.
