A US-made HIMARS launcher was filmed firing missiles at Iran from Bahrain. Most other Gulf states have denied that the US has launched attacks from its soil against Iran. Bahrain has remained silent on this question.

Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning:
Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime.
And recognized as such by the US Government.

NEW: Our team of FT reporters across the world dug into the strike on the school in Minab. Along the way, we explored what the dearth of real-time, on-the-ground information means for open-source research in this conflict:

Croatia is now landmine free!
During a time of terrible conflict across the globe, I'm taking a moment to celebrate some good news.
Please feel free to join me in congratulating Croatia and everyone involved in making the country free from the terrible threat of landmines.

“When we have this culture proliferated from the top… embodying the antithesis of everything we’re supposed to stand for as American warfighters—everything else tends to slip.”
Closing statement in my interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN's The Situation Room…
The OSMP has added four images of Tomahawk Land Attack Missile remnants allegedly found at the Minab school in Iran.
The debris are consistent with Tomahawk munitions previously documented by the OSMP during U.S. strikes in Yemen.

De Telegraaf, the Netherlands’ largest newspaper, recently published an interview with a woman promoting €1,600 seats on private evacuation flights from Dubai. Bellingcat found that her image was likely AI-generated, and flight data suggests no such plane took off. www.bellingcat.com/news/2026/03...
“This is not the behavior of a leader of the free world.”
I fully realize we are well beyond that—but it needs restated as much as possible, because NONE of this is normal.
My latest analysis in @theintercept.com on the deadly strike against a girls’ school in Iran.

'Wes Bryant — who served until last year as the senior analyst and adviser on precision warfare, targeting, and civilian harm mitigation at the Pentagon’s Civilian Protection Center of Excellence — called the attack on the…school a “failure in fundamental targeting doctrine and standards.” ' /1

This investigation was carried out with help from our volunteer community. Nicole Kiess, Livio Spaini, @afko.bsky.social sky.social, @anisashabir.bsky.social and @scaratlas.bsky.social helped geolocate the missile sightings. Learn about our volunteer community here: sites.google.com/bellingcat.c...
The US Department of Defense said they “had nothing to provide” when asked if they had reached any agreement with these countries to utilise their airspace for cruise missiles targeting a third country. Work by @mabl2k.bsky.social and @easybakeovensz.bsky.social: www.bellingcat.com/news/middle-...
Bellingcat has geolocated eight videos showing US Tomahawks cruise missiles in Iraq heading towards Iran. The missiles appear to be flying low across valleys and were most likely fired from the Mediterranean sea, an expert told us.

Ahh, my determination was that the tree you have in blue would be next to the camera/not visible. The one we see in the photos, to my eye, is further back by the schoolyard wall. Higher-res imagery in Google Earth also lets you match the street lights/power poles.
Exclusive: Airwars and @the-independent.com identified the first civilian the U.S. military has accepted killing in strikes that it declared were AI-assisted.

First up was our reporting about how DOGE operatives had arbitrarily cut aid programs, in some cases by literally clicking through a spreadsheet: propub.li/4cCsSKP

Strange war powers report to Congress for the recent partnered US military op in Ecuador.
I interpret this as a hostilities report notwithstanding this disclaimer:
"Although present for this partnered operation, United States ground forces did not come into contact with hostile forces." 1/n
New footage reveals an apparent U.S. or Israeli strike near a boys' school in Abyek, west of Tehran, on Feb. 28. Satellite imagery suggests a comms tower was the intended target, but flying debris killed a child on the playground. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/w...
We reported yesterday that footage showed a US Tomahawk missile hitting a facility metres from the school. In the footage, smoke could already be seen rising from the vicinity of the girls’ school. www.bellingcat.com/news/2026/03...
We also matched details of the remnants to publicly available imagery of Tomahawk components in the Open Source Munitions Portal (OSMP) @munitionsportal.bsky.social osmp.ngo/model/tomaha...
Bellingcat verified the images were taken at the site of the school by matching items and landmarks visible in the footage to what can be seen on satellite imagery.
Images published by Iranian state media show remnants of a US Tomahawk missile at a girls’ school in Minab.
It’s not possible to independently verify the provenance of the remnants from this imagery alone. But Bellingcat previously detailed how a Tomahawk missile hit a structure next to the school.
“Iran has some Tomahawks.”
Gonna need a factcheck on that one.
Must have missed the FMS announcement for sale of TLAMs to Iran.
