I recently started putting children's book to music for an author who writes on service animals for the disabled. That way children with visual impairments can access a book's lyrics immediately, instead of having to wait for a braille copy, if they can even get one.
I'm a lyricist. I write custom lyrics for beloved horses and dogs. Noone is standing in line to sing what I write.
I'm not a good musician, no band.
It's not for the public, it's personal. Some is published, if owners request. Go ahead and indict me, or sing for me!
