Mick, my brother said it’s hard once you get near the summit. Hiking for eight hours on summit day. Then sleep for a few hours and hike for fourteen hours through the night. With the Sherpas people do it in six days. But without the Sherpas it can be done in three.
Yes my brother said it was very hard! He has massive blisters on his feet. He did a lot of hill walking for the last few months to prepare, like Slieve na mBan and others. He climbed Ben Nevis last year. Did your brother go with a Sherpa group? It’s a funny coincidence they both went isn’t it?!
