I totally get what you mean, the main series really pisses me off too. I just try to tell Pokemon fans that are getting sick of the main series that they don't have to just give up Pokemon.

Will the packs fully random or are there rules to what goes in a pack together? Can players trade after pulling their packs?

Gotcha! The only cube I've built was "Little Cup" themed.
I don't vibe with mutant rules but the risk of not drafting the full line seems like it would break the whole thing.

If you want something that feels like original hardware, multiple brands make systems of any model you want, some cheaper than buying a single original game cart.

More Pokemon fans need to realize that it takes less than a half hour for a complete noob to port a GBA game to their phone/tablet/computer for the first time. For free. At basically zero personal risk. With thousands of free DLC packs available for each game.

It's one of my favorite of the genre because there's more of the adventuring that gets you stuff to bring home and decorate with.
I've also liked the older Rune Factory games but that series seems to be struggling recently.
