Our cat Alice Cooper who squished himself into a bowl he barely fits into.

We were going to put away the clean, plastic salad spinner bowl until...🀣

That's what it looks like 😬

Nessie the cat sprawled out in a laundry basket of bed sheets that were fresh out of the dryer.

This is what always happens at our house when we don't immediately fold the sheets after taking them out of the dryer. 🀣

A ball python snake in a bath of water A close up of the sweet ball python snake

T had an explody-shed. "Snake soup" fixed that right up. She was good to go and very hungry for a rat today. πŸ€—

An orange cat representing an uncooked shrimp curled up next to a grey cat representing a cooked shrimp.

A raw and a cooked shrimp. 🀣

Chatting with Hubs while cooking made me want to reiterate how lucky I know that I am. I'm an adopted kid, I hit the jackpot with MY Mom, Dad & brothers - MY family, the ones who fought to kept me. I also hit the in-laws jackpot. Family doesn't need to be defined by genetics.

My coworker-friend gifted me a bunch of Panda isopods. I think they approve of their upgraded, larger tank. The smaller one dried out too quickly for them.

Thanks so much! I'm sure I could have found it. But, the scientific researcher in me always figures it might be easier to simply ask the expert (who probably has the doc at their fingertips).πŸ˜‰

Can you link to the full source document for the screenshot? I might want to use this for an upcoming educational program.

When you look up "antics" in the dictionary, there really should be a picture of our Alice Cooper, lol.

Plastic porch skeleton wearing pink bunny ears and a skirt with a pattern of the outline of the state of Nebraska.

Bavmorda got an Easter outfit today! Anyone recognize the pattern on her skirt?

How can this "rationale" be anything other than a lie when caught with your pants down? How can the layoffs be BOTH a mistake AND part of "the plan". It's nonsensical.

I was laughing pretty hard the first time he "ambushed" my cloth around the kitchen corner. 🀣

Mr. Not Helpful while I was cleaning the kitchen floor. It's now clean...with several spots of watermarked cat prints, LOL.

The Code That Controls Your Money COBOL is a coding language older than Weird Al Yankovic. It underpins the entire financial system. And it can’t be removed. How a computer…

It can be done, but it takes time to understand the nuances of each system itself including any legacy code fixes/changes, how old code links with newer languages etc. "Move fast and break things" WILL break things, and likely break them badly. 2/2 (two refs containing other refs below)

Using an old language (esp. one that's good at its job) isn't inherently bad or "outdated". Updating older systems can be good/necessary, but it's not as simple as having AI or teenage techbros (who probably can't code in COBOL) just migrate "old code" to a new language. 1/2

Donald Trump said he didn't sign the act to deport Venezualens. Marco Rubio said it needed to be done. Donald Trump said Joe Biden's pardons were illegal because he supposedly didn't sign them. Someone else in the was responsible.

Oh, the hypocrisy? This would be funny, if it wasn't so f*&^1ng stupid that this where we are in the the U.S. Dislike Biden's pardons - fine! But, come on. Trump can't own his own policies. "Little Marco", this is a big trial ballon to throw you under the bus. Good luck, I guess?

A plastic human skeleton wearing a green Irish Tam hat with a skeleton unicorn on her shoulder and a skeleton cat by her feet.

Bavmorda fell over and sustained some skeletal injuries during the second winter storm (the blizzard-y one). A little duct tape and zip tie shoulder/clavicle "surgery" and the full skele-crew are finally back out! 😁 🀣

Thank you! The bit of provenance I know is it was found on a gravel road next to the Kansas river. My guess was typical river dredge used as aggregate on the roads around here. πŸ˜‰

Top side of a two inch long piece of chert that is vaguely tool-looking Edge of a two inch long piece Bottom side of a two inch long piece

@archeaids.bsky.social Question for ya - one of Hub's students picked up this piece of chert and brought it to him to "ask the geologist wife" if it's a tool. Looks like natural fracturing to me, but figured I should ask an actual expert. πŸ˜‰

Hilarious. I wonder if the TVs were on an unsecured network and someone just cast their phone, which is why they had to turn them off to stop it? πŸ€” 🫑

Trump is SO not used to anyone directly standing up to him, especially in public. He immediately turns into a peevish, petty child. This should happen way more often.
