I reread tonight all articles I wrote about Marx.
I think that on a very personal level there are three things that are super attractive in Marx.
1 He was stateless, so can appeal to everybody in the world.
2 He never worked for a salary, so he can appeal to all who suffer from wage slavery.

"Doing good science requires the utmost exertion of body, mind and spirit, yet is consistently filled with failure and rejection."

How the World’s Political Economy Works How the world's political economy works, a reading list from Brown University's Mark Blyth.

"If you look at economic textbooks, the whole world is meant to work according to the logic of differential calculus; there are these reciprocal relationships – one side goes up and one side goes down. But deep within it there’s a paradox."

Economics and the Environment If you want to take an economy that's wholly dependent on fossil fuels and turn it into a low-carbon one it's going to be expensive, says economist Dieter Helm—and the sooner we face up to that…

"So economics and the environment shouldn’t be separate subjects. But they are, because what many economists do is focus on this allocation as if it were a GDP problem."

The Global Food Scandal The campaigner and historian says that Western countries waste more food than they consume. Believe him: he survives off food scavenged exclusively from supermarket bins

"The reality is that there’s a grotesque imbalance: in the US, more food is fed to livestock than is eaten by humans. Globally we use about 1.2 billion tonnes of fodder to rear livestock."
