26.03.2025 00:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Enjoying City of the Wolves on the Sega Lindbergh arcade cabinet. The gameplayβs great! It got a nice mix of classic and modernized mechanics. Really enjoying it. Canβt wait for this one to fully release.
22.02.2025 21:59 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0More things done on the hobby to-do list: Retrobright my SNES Bomberman Multitap (aka Super Multitap 2). This cute little guyβs top piece got yellowed quite a bit. After a couple 3 hour sessions of retrobright solution and Cali sunshine, it brightened up nicely! What an adorable device.π
30.01.2025 05:50 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Itβs also nicer to have the IREM logo when the game boots up. It didnβt sit right with me seeing the Jaleco logo on the snes release.
24.01.2025 05:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A local buddy helped me get a cheap R-type III cart for Super Famicon on his recent Japan trip. Iβve always wanted the SNES cart but itβs so expensive now and I never liked the label art. I decided to transplant the PCB inside to a US shell and print out a JPN art styled holo label. Came out dope!

19.01.2025 19:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ayyyy the rice cooker is fine. Even Asians ainβt making rice in a pot anymore.
17.12.2024 09:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Desk #misterfpga in full effect! Big thanks to @misteraddons.bsky.social for making some great products to make this dream happen!
17.12.2024 04:54 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Really great game, Iβve been enjoying it this month. Too bad the US cart label isnβt as nice as the Japanese one. They also removed the Irem intro and replaced it with Jaleco, because of the publishing deal that was made for the western release. That and the price of the US cart is ridiculous!
16.12.2024 20:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks, brotha! I need to come by and catch-up on an arcade night. Itβs been too long.
10.12.2024 20:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks phunq-sauwce! No worries, man, I always appreciate the support whether you can drop by or not. π»
10.12.2024 20:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I made another trip around the Sun! I thought it would be fun to do a special one-off Birthday stream tonight to ring in my mid-20s, they say it all goes downhill from here! lolππ
Join me at 7:30pm PST for some #arcade action playing some of my old favs. www.twitch.tv/gillaxian
The orange one is cool, and the original white as well, but I love this version the best.

07.12.2024 08:34 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0People who demand others to prove their worth are usually those who lack their own self worth. I donβt owe you my respect, you get that for free whether you want it or not. Angry-man syndrome or not, I hope you have someone during the holidays. Itβs hard around this time of year.
07.12.2024 05:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I never agreed with this mentality.
IMO everyone deserves a baseline level of respect.
Disrespect is earned. Show me a reason you deserve my disrespect, and youβll get it.
Looking forward to when the DIY kits go on sale π
04.12.2024 04:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Haha yeah me too. I donβt invert on controller. lol
01.12.2024 05:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, Iβm a monster.
30.11.2024 02:20 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yup. When you get millions buying your lemon, the install base is large enough to force you actually to fix it.
Normalizing broken releases by putting the responsibility onto the customer is akin to the service industry forcing customers to make up low wages through tips. We need a higher standard
Iβve been wanting to buy Cyberpunk for a while but didnβt want to pay more than $30, on principle for releasing a buggy unoptimized mess. As a dev since the late 90βs, the way the industry has shifted to βweβll fix it after launchβ is embarrassing. Customers should not let devs get away with that.

27.11.2024 19:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Playing more multiplayer games with the kids tonight. This time, βdad-bodβ Spiderman on the Sega System 32! Not a great beat-em-up in terms of fight gameplay, but itβs got a cool zoom-in and out feature that makes use of the S32βs sprite scaling hardware.
27.11.2024 04:46 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Same here! Itβs my daily driver for music, and itβs been so great to unplug from the internet and service while be able to run high quality FLAC files.

This is worse than just a hobbyist modder. This is just plain idiotic. I have never heard of anyone doing this method, let alone perpetuating it as βadviceβ. The doubling-down is insane too.
20.11.2024 04:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I really love the 1-bit artwork.
20.11.2024 03:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For more dual-cabinet multiplayer games, Iβve had to go on a crimping mission. Built myself a family of 3/4-Player-to-CPS2 adapters to be able to connect a bunch of different arcade boards for multiplayer support (I use the CPS2 Aux/kick harness for passing P3 & P4 controls to the second cab).
19.11.2024 23:12 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Iβm always looking to make my Sega Naomi setups more compact. I love the system and the games, but the normal setup has so much gear. Hereβs my Naomi motherboard w/ CF card reader for game loads, Sega IO-JNX Atlas-UVC Downscaler stack, & Dreamcast PSU for power. This is the smallest I can make it!
