Sometimes we feel like one of those giant unethical experiments psychologists got to run in the 1960s, except the only research goal is to test the maxim that 'there's no such thing as a stupid question'.

An incredibly pixelated meme that we are also not obligated to have the skills to improve. The meme reads: 'That metric won't stop me, because I can't count!'

Some would say that we're just celebrating natural variance based on a 4-week rolling average that saw their activity metrics decline slightly while ours held stable, but we're historians and therefore not obliged to be numerate.

Why did Adobe Flash come to dominate the internet? What led it to being such a fundamental part of the infrastructure? First, some history and background. In the early 1990s the internet was mostly text based, with graphics being something that wasn't really "native" to the internet. Sure, you could download an image over the internet and view it on your computer, but this was a different character of interaction than what we've come to expect today. Think about the difference between watching television "live" versus receiving an envelope in the mail which contains a photograph.

Ever wonder what led to Adobe Flash becoming such a legendary part of the internet? /u/rocketsocks has an answer that'll blow your socks off, and takes us back through some online #history!

That's actually an interesting question - we remove about 25% of comments according to Reddit's internal analytics (3.2k removed vs 9.3k published). It's not actually inconceivable that r/conservative removes more in either an absolute or even proportional sense.
