One of the funniest things about this trailcam is one raccoon will always knock it sideways. And then another one will inevitably come along and set it straight again. This has happened dozens of times.

My fundamental understanding of the world hinges on basic concepts like:

“Being yourself is good”
“Stealing is wrong”
“Try to treat everyone fairly”
“Don’t ruin the planet”

But all of these are controversial, I guess? It’s like realizing that tons of other Americans don’t think gravity exists.

Important tip to self employed artists who are just starting out...or not, if you aren't already doing this. Give yourself regular work hours, man. Once work hours are over don't even look at emails. Be nice to yourself brother.

A sketchbook comic: Lucy is perusing the shelves of her childhood bedroom for her voracious comics reading 8 year old. She says “ooh are they ready for this one?” And pulls out tank girl, the cover of which is tank girl wearing a giant bomb bra. “Hmm maybe not.” Then she reads “school is hell” and says “heh, do I wanna make things harder on myself?” Then she’s looking fretfully at Ghost World. Finally she looks over at a stack of Calvin and Hobbes and thinks “welp, guess they can stick to reading what they always read at grammy’s house!… for now.”

It’s only a matter of time, but for now we live in a golden age of kids comics and they’ve got plenty of those to distract them from mom’s old ones.
