Minneapolis and Saint Paul have basically mobilized into a war economy of mutual aid and non-violent defense. I’ve never seen anything like it, even during Covid. People who barely vote are guarding their schools from ICE and doing the shopping for neighbors in hiding.

If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

Every year this comic feels more and more relevant.

Some notes about his clothing: - The circular headdress he wears above his cap is called a world disc and represents an iris (to which the head is the pupil). The Desert is often conceptualized as an eye. - The string of beads he wears around his chest is functionally the same as a rosary, but also gives some important information about his identity. The water ampule indicates he's a monk of the Annia Mansur school, the fact that it's half full means he's only an initiate. The little tin squares are symbols of the Yellow Star. Not everyone wears this. - The markings under his mouth represent the miraculous power of his saliva, which can make seeds germinate instantly (this is a prerogative of the monks of the Yellow Star). - The object at his feet is not an object, but a corpse: when an angel (emissary/child of a Star) dies or is killed, its body changes shape and turns into a small egg (they are edible).
