Our system is complicated. We’ve two odd class breaks and two even class breaks. The odd class teachers stick on the odd schedules and the evens stick to theirs. Staff like the principal though move between all 4 break slots so I’ll put the principal in as half hours staff on both odd & even.

So set it up as if the principal for example was on half hours for run 1 and half on run 2?

Simon this is unreal. Thank you! We run split breaks so the odds go out at 10, evens at 10:30 for example. SET/DP/P could be on duty on any of the 4 yards in a given day. Can this be managed by the software?

.. Christina Koch & Jessica Meir the first astronauts to complete an all female EVA.. Peggy Whitson, Suni Williams and Samantha Cristoforetti who’ve commanded the space station. There are so many better opportunities for the media to honour and focus on female astronauts.

There are brilliant female astronauts who have studied hard, battled and qualified to hold that title and role. Thinking of Judith Resnik, Kalpana Chawla, and Christa McAuliffe who gave their lives for science.

Reading a book that’s as dull as dishwater at the moment and yet it has won significant literary awards. Similar experience last year. Either I’m a bit less refined than I think or there’s a mutual ‘wonderful dahling’ vibe from some of the literary award judging. 🤔

Positive of the rain in Andalusia is the restoration of the reservoir lakes. Vinuela was at 13% when I saw it and it was heartbreaking to see the jetty surrounded by scrub and hard clay. Now at 45%. Locals told me water hungry Avocado planting was a real issue. Habitat now slowly recovering.

It would also irk the influences in Cork and Dublin who feel facilitating growth in a region they feed off would lead to less money going their way.. and to be honest.. couldn’t you say the same about the UHW and SETU? (You couldn’t.. it’d break the Corkman’s code!)

It would revitalise the south east economy while allowing people who travel to Dublin Airport reluctantly to fly from closer to home, helping alleviate pressure in the capital.

Non profit making amenity is curious in its absence in the PtoP discussion. No safe bike lanes (dismissed.. non profit making), no parkland (non profit making), community centre (non profit making). Housing must be accompanied by amenity.. but that doesn’t make ex ministers any cash so 🚫

Finally (for this week 😊), it’s short sighted when considering 24 apartments that they might be in an area devoid of amenity, with narrow road access to central areas, with nothing but a petrol station wall for young people to avail of.

I might start cutting out the waste myself.. funding financially parasitic mouthpieces (not referring to you) might be a good start for me. Such a shame, I loved the podcast in its first few months.

So why would you take a permanent job in Dublin if you know you’ll get stuck? There is no transfer mechanism as far as I know.

Also, teachers aren’t transferring out of Dublin. There is no permanent teacher transfer mechanism that I’m aware of. Elephant in the room is teachers not taking perm roles in Dub because they have to resign if they want to move. You then have to work your way through 2-3 years of CID system again…

Unions are bad/ Deport at the point of accusation / Teachers etc. It’s starting to feel like a one man show with yourself trying your best to debate with GHook lite. It’s like a construction lobby podcast at this point. Jesus you’re doing your best but maybe a 3rd host for balance?

James everytime I put anything out it’s being jumped on by the starlings. How are you getting the smaller ones to hang around or have a chance at the food?

I saw a flock of at least 100 flying over the river Suir this morning at Passage East. You’d regularly see them along the Suir and in Dunmore East standing on rocks drying out their wings, standing with them outstretched. They look like they’re being evangelical.
