True, true. I didn't like ZA's story and I wanted to punch most of the characters (Lida is a bully and never gets called out on this? AZ is a mass murderer and the game itself glosses over this) but it did feel *alive*.

I feel like it's ever since gen 3 that they've tried to have a serious plot really. SM had a great story but people hated reading. Then SV was one of the most emotionally impactful games I've ever played.

This is a JRPG series. People should EXPECT reading.

Story. The story in ZA was atrocious and had the same issue as XY in trying to insist we HAVE to feel bad for a war criminal. SV's story made me feel things other than irritation.

That said, ZA is at least fun to PLAY. I love the new combat system! It builds off PLA in a fresh and fun way.

I'm surprised that nobody had a name based on the present. Instead they named their kid after peppermint.

I need a death note but instead of killing them it just gives them enough trouble to build a little character.

I find that people who hate tofu have never actually had it.

Oh she's wonderful. I admit I didn't like her at first but when I realized why she acts that way I felt bad.

But I liked the robots BECAUSE it was more emotional, not because of the stakes. The stake here was my robot and lizard friends, and that to me was the same sort of thing as the other three.

Funny, because I keep seeing people talk about how Paldea was LOW stakes. "Paradise" wasn't happening yet and we could stop it with time left. The most pressing and destructive matter we face is calming down Terapagos before it could bring down the Underdepths.

i find the "nemona is a yandere" headcanon to be cheesy af but i think she should be a little crazy now and then. a little bonkers. a little funny in the head. not in a yandere way but rather a "i do not fucking know what is going on with her" way.

I couldn't respond to your post directly, @popufur.vip , but you said that nobody cared about the robot in SV. I did! The robot was my favorite character in that game and I have the fanfics to prove it! Also the robot wasn't evil, their creators were.

Working on a Castlevania Hand-Drawn Game Guides project is the "new" dream. Perhaps I can begin the process of willing it into existence. If I ever had the chance to do CV3, it would be presented like a Choose your Own Adventure.

Honestly we should be showing no quarter to our enemies but "our enemies" are MUCH different than he thinks they are (hint, he's one of them). And we would be doing it in self defense unlike this demon.

The bigger issue is that I'm not a techy person and installing new systems is apparently something that needs a lot of knowhow. These things NEED to be streamlined and simplified so people of all ages and ability levels can do them!
