The way that we came to understand love was that he laid down his life for us; we too must lay down our lives for our brothers. I ask you, how can God’s love survive in a man who has enough of this world’s goods yet closes his heart to his brother when he sees him in need?

Remember: Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House.

If they refuse to put forward an offer that includes any Democratic input and they don’t get Democratic votes—that’s on Republicans.

Americans rightly understand REPUBLICANS have pushed toward a shutdown.

A screenshot of the weather forecast for OP's location. It shows the weather being in the 70s and sunny for the day.

It's near 80 degrees today and I've got a rose bush trying to bloom. The day before NYE. 🙄

"Yet another" cold morning? You're asking when will warmer weather arrive? Really? It has been warm well into December and we didn't even really get the Oct/Nov cold snap that's expected each year. The question should still be when will colder weather arrive and stick with us.

First, don't conflate disagreement and differences in policy opinions with polarization. Second, don't assume all parties come to the table in good faith when disagreement arises. Finally, don't negotiate when all options are bad -- especially when they are neglectful or discriminatory.

I’ll have to check these out but here’s my list. I like the list function over the starter pack because I don’t necessarily want to follow these and have them in my default feed. I want to look when I want to look and I want to be able to ignore it all when I want. bsky.app/profile/did:...

One reason Bluesky (still) works for news is that there’s no obvious, pervasive culture of misinformation. If someone you trust reshares something on, say, Syria, the odds that it’s a chud trying to troll people remains relatively low.

Wooden figure of a human reaching up supporting a stack of books. Text reads it's not hard harder and supports learning for everyone.

If we go to the trouble to create an accommodation for one student who has an IEP, why not just offer it to everyone? It's not harder to give the support to everyone. When baked into our lesson as #UDL, supports can have far-reaching benefits. #LeadInclusion #EduSky #InclusiveEd

Smith Tea - Jasmine Silver Tip, Green Tea Delicate, tender green tea leaves from China's Fujian Province are harvested each May and steam-fired to maintain their flavor - then placed amid jasmine buds

This one is a green tea. What white jasmine would you recommend? www.smithtea.com/products/jas...

However, I would not recommend it for anyone just starting to explore different tea. Check out a milder flavor before going all in on the jasmine.

To be clear: that doesn’t mean we tolerate unconscionable actions or attitudes. However, we have to work long-term to secure the success of our society. We don’t give up on our neighbors but we also don’t tolerate them when they are being hateful, hurtful, and willfully ignorant.

Thankful for my closest loved ones today! I’m also thankful and grateful to love the work I am privileged to do in schools and communities every day — but I always try to remember to keep the main thing the main thing. Thank you to my better half for being the amazing mother and partner she is!

I will have to disagree -- but you've got to frame the observation. Is the observation occurring strictly for evaluative or compliance purposes (to check a box)? Or is the observation one piece of a coaching and improvement cycle. In a well designed cycle, the observer and the observed both grow.
