13.02.2026 01:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They bitch about all the stuff we have every time they come over, I don't want them GOING THROUGH IT ONE BY ONE. Leave my little plastic guys and my books of pictures alone, please. It's a hard world.

Labelling moving boxes. "Books." "Books (JP)."
You might think the latter is for Japanese language books. It is. But it also stands for what well intentioned unpacking help is going to say if they open it, which is "JESUSCHRIST a PENIS." Put a really good Gendice one on top, just for them.

10.02.2026 04:34 โ ๐ 3219 ๐ 887 ๐ฌ 28 ๐ 18The same ceramic sphinx in the last post now digitally illustrated. In the top panel it sits with a giant grin, speaking. The text reads "A man in a car saw a golden door, a silver door, and a bronze door. Which door did he open first? The car door!" Bottom left it goes flying through the air, mouth open in a snarl. The text reads "Riddle failed! (Mind you they are the size of a kitten, don't worry about it). Bottom right shows them curled up on their back, blissfully relaxed, eyes closed for a nap. The text reads "Two minutes later". Scattered throughout the illusration are three small, simple doodles, looking up in wonder at a flowering plant, on its back, legs sticking straight up with a frustrated expression, and the last one; tail high with a happy smile.
I've been so tickled after making the ceramic sphinx in my last post that I couldn't help but draw them for some fun this weekend :)

As someone with too much anime merch, in the process of packing my things to move, I have come to the conclusion that standees are the best merch ever made. Plush? Light, but bulky. Figures? Fiddly to keep safe unless you kept all the boxes.
Standees? Got like 50 of those guys in a shoebox.

26.03.2025 03:47 โ ๐ 923 ๐ 568 ๐ฌ 7 ๐ 9An excerpt from the light novel Fate/Strange Fake, reading as follows; "Surrounded by mountains of old-looking books, Caster was resting his feet on his desk and staring at the screen of a notebook computer with an excited grin. 'Oh-ho, so when ya put the notes and the lyrics into the computer, the little lady in the picture sings! Oh, what a time to be alive! The Grail War's got nothing on this!' He fiddled with the computer for a while, rattling on in that vein all the while. At last, a bizarre tune, such as to waste the capabilities of that sophisticated software, became audible from the computer. '...' Once he had listened to it all the way through, he tried listening to songs made by other people for comparison. Then he nodded as if convinced of something. 'Yeesh. My violin teacher told me back when I was a brat, but I guess I really ain't got any musical talent. Can't do anything about that; might as well focus on the Grail War.'"
Finally reading Strange Fake. WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT CASTER HAVING A VOCALOID PHASE???

Brutal and surreal, a detective who Needs to Know and the Price he pays for it -- if he ever can Really Know -- and then a sudden transformation into something else. I can recommend it to online friends,
