It was wonderful joining Chamber RVA today. Hearing directly from business leaders on their priorities in education, housing, & health care helps inform the work of lawmakers, ensuring we continue to be one of the best states to live, work, receive an education, & raise a family.

Senator Warner’s track record of leadership for Virginia and for all Americans is clear. Virginians will return him to the Senate in 2026.

It was great keynoting the Chesapeake Solar & Storage Association's (@solarindustry.bsky.social) Annual Conference in Arlington. Our clean energy production & storage landscape will require regulatory, legislative, & market-driven approaches to ensure Virginia remains a national leader.

Senator @barbarafavola.bsky.social is an exemplary leader, who has dedicated her career in public service to improving lives across Virginia. Today, I was honored to share her strong legislative record as she was presented the William L. Winston Award by the Arlington County Bar Foundation.

I join others in mourning the loss of a Virginia Department of Corrections Officer killed today at River North Correctional Center in Independence. I am praying for this officer's family, as well as the other injured officer who is currently hospitalized, & our entire VDOC staff.

It’s a beautiful day to celebrate with our CD-04 Democrats! Our Democratic Committees and their volunteers helped Virginia secure historic victories up and down the ballot that have sent a resounding message across the world: our democracy and our values are worth fighting for.

My Transition Committee convened today for our first meeting. Encompassing perspectives from across government, industry sectors, issue areas, & regions of VA, these leaders will help build an Office of the LG that is relentlessly focused on improving the lives of Virginians.

I am excited to meet with my fellow Democratic Lieutenant Governors from across the nation today in Washington, D.C. Together, we are working to find solutions to the problems created by Donald Trump and his Republican Congress.

Today, we honor the sacrifice of those who have worn our nation's uniform and served our country, both domestically and abroad. Veterans Day compels us to reaffirm our commitment to increasing support and resources for Virginia’s more than 670,000 veterans and their families.

Together, we are turning new and bold ideas into laws that improves the lives of communities across Virginia.

It was wonderful to keynote The Commonwealth Institute’s Annual Policy Summit today! The research, advocacy, & coalition-building done by TCI & partner organizations are always vital, but are even more salient now as we face a multitude of crises in health care, housing, education, & more.

Congratulations to Speaker Don Scott, Majority Leader Charniele Herring, and Caucus Chair Kathy Tran on their unanimous re-elections to House leadership! I look forward to building on our collaborative work during the 2026 General Assembly session and beyond.
