Congratulations to Alexandra Vakos on being one of three prosecutors at her level honored by the Virginia Association of Commonwealth’s Attorneys this year.
I am grateful for Alexandra's commitment to justice. I was honored to recognize her on the U.S. House floor as my 'Constituent of the Week.'
It was great to hear the insights of community advocates, providers, and elected officials at my global maternal health roundtable with the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium.
In Congress, I’m committed to improving outcomes for mothers by strengthening maternal health care.
It was great to meet with AP Government students from The Carmel School in Caroline County. These bright students asked thoughtful questions, and we had a great discussion about the future of Congress.
I hope you had a wonderful visit to the nation's capital!
It was an honor to attend the 41st Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Oratorical Contest in Prince William County.
Thank you to the PWC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for hosting another outstanding event that uplifts Dr. King’s legacy by elevating the voices of our youth.
The Supreme Court ruled in their favor, striking down Virginia laws that banned interracial marriage.
Because of her deep belief in equality and support of the freedom to marry for all, Mildred Loving helped expand civil rights for generations to come. (2/2)
This Black History Month, I want to recognize Caroline County native Mildred Delores Loving and her husband, Richard Loving.
In 1967, the couple were at the center of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia after being criminally charged for their interracial marriage. (1/2)
Stop by my team's virtual drop-in office hours on Wednesday, February 11 from 12-1 PM!

Thank you to the producers from Double 8 Alpaca and Llama Ranch, DirtFarm Brewing, Scarlet Springs Farm, & Horton Vineyards who shared their insights!
DHS and ICE have become increasingly aggressive under the leadership of Secretary Noem and Acting Director Lyons.
That’s why I joined my Virginia colleagues in leading an effort to make one thing clear: Virginians do NOT want this.

The American people deserve to know the FULL story about President Trump's shady dealings with Jeffrey Epstein.
DOJ has only released half of the files they have.
ALL files must be released. This review is far from over.
Congratulations to Woodbridge native Shaboozey on his first Grammy!
As the son of an immigrant, his journey is a powerful reflection of the American dream — and a reminder of what’s possible when talent, hard work, and opportunity come together. Our community couldn’t be prouder.
February 4 is World Cancer Day. Today is a reminder of the importance of early detection and continued research in the fight against this devastating disease.
Together, we can support patients, survivors, and their loved ones, and raise awareness to help build a future free from cancer.
I often call the Washington Post my local paper, but its work reaches far beyond that — across the nation and the world.
It’s devastating to see so many talented reporters out of work, and fewer people left to tell the stories that matter.
Democracy dies in darkness.
I secured $2.75 MILLION in federal funding for critical public safety projects across the Seventh District.
I’m proud to support our local law enforcement and first responders by delivering the resources they need to keep our neighborhoods safe.
No one is above the law.
Attempts to conceal the truth about child predators betray the public trust.
DOJ must open criminal investigations into all those implicated in Jeffrey Epstein’s operation and follow the facts wherever they lead.
🔊Turn the sound on.
What you’re hearing are the voices of Americans calling my office, distraught by ICE actions in Minneapolis and across the country.
They called because they’re scared, they're angry, and they're demanding change.
Their message is clear: ICE must be held accountable.
Donald Trump is mentioned more than 1,000 times in the most recent release of the Epstein files — bringing his total mentions to over 5,300. Enough with the cover up. The American people deserve the truth about the president's cozy relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
03.02.2026 21:46 — 👍 21 🔁 9 💬 0 📌 0As a veteran, I know the U.S. Army holds its soldiers deployed abroad to a higher standard than what we have seen from ICE on American streets.
That's why I voted NO on a bill to fund ICE without making critical reforms.

The U.S. must continue to stand with Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty.
Virginia is home to hardworking federal workers, contractors, and service members.
This week, many are once again wondering when they will get their next paycheck.
I’m proud to join Rep. Walkinshaw in introducing legislation to guarantee that these folks get paid when the government shuts down.
February is Black History Month.
This month, we honor and celebrate the rich history and contributions of Black Americans in Virginia and across the United States.
Join me as we recommit to confronting inequities and working together to build a more just and inclusive America for all.

All involved in the horrific deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good must be held accountable. (2/2)
