As a depressed younger artist, my storytelling sometimes suffered. I just couldn't conjure up feelings & images the story needed. Over time I found some strategies for staying professional even when I wasn't feeling it. Thread:

One of the things here is how GOOD all of these games look and the -visual feedback- they give.
I've played some gambling/deckbuilding/roguelikes lately where the gameplay loop was solid but they weren't something I wanted to look at very long or didn't feel rewarding enough to explore.
Okay here is my wisdom on all these roguelike arcade-style things coming out as someone who was bad at Balatro and Cloverpit:

Batman Beyond is so good and it also shows how skilled Kevin Conroy was as a voice actor. He made old Bruce so gravely and deliberate and then when you get to hear his younger Bruce next to it it’s such a specific contrast.
How did he do that!

As for OBS websocket, the forum clarifies this as well, but this is only if you downloaded it from the resources page, not the one bundled in obs itself
I definitely do preliminary sketches and get approval in stages on most commissions, especially when I think there's a risk they'll want more detail, I describe what detail I'll be adding. Usually problems arise for me in the final approval stage, where it starts piling on as "one more thing."
My way of dealing with this has been to make the price something that I would feel comfortable making such changes without nickel and diming commissioners for “added detail” or “challenging anatomy” etc.
But in real life it’s making commissions more expensive than I’d like them to be.
Another example: YCH Commissions but the character they’ve submitted doesn’t really fit into the YCH template or shape. Like you have an average anthro “furry” in the sample but they submit a snake person with weird proportions?
Commissioners feel free to weigh in on your thoughts as well.
Fellow artists who take commissions, how have you historically dealt with commissioners who ask for a higher level of detail or more work than the level/style they’ve chosen?
E.g. Let’s say you offer chibis but a client keeps asking for more character detail. Where do you draw the line?

I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.
