Every time I get an email or read a post about how "AI is inevitable" and so you need to do X or Y to get ready for it, I screenshot it. I've saved them all. When the bubble bursts, I'm going to be a menace. I will be unstoppable. I will be taken to prison for the harassment I am going to do.

No. Empirically not. A tool empowers people; helps people. It solves an extant problem. Generative AI in creative mediums is being used as a cudgel that diminishes and eliminates people, and the only "problem" being solved is fiscal.

Stop validating it, even in passing.

Now after years of hell, uncertainty, transitioning, growth- as I find myself stabilizing and cautiously optimistic... I find myself yearning again for that ambition I left behind amidst battling poverty and immaturity. I dunno where to start or when... but I want to try. Against all odds I will try

I took on comp sci despite 90% of my time and energy being hoarded by mere survival and mental/emotional distress. All things considered, I did pretty well and got half way through year 3 without taking any shortcuts. My environment burned out my passion for learning and eagerness to succeed.

Horrible dilemma. I think I have a yearning for a passionate ambitious academic pursuit but it would require me to go back to school to finish my comp sci degree and get a degree in psychology 😫

I am trying to hold onto hope, but it feels like every day the masses that we rely on to defend us just carry on with their day with a meager affectation of support while the masses against us close the jagged walls on us further and further until we are cornered and hopeless with no one on our side

I don't post about the tragedy happening every day like some- to be honest it doesn't make my life any better to see people say "Trans women are women! They deserve rights" every day, because nothing changes- the rhetoric against us is getting worse, and our means to protect ourself is reduced.

All that while also constantly feeling distraught with empathy due to others having it way worse than I do. From simple things like having more stability than some of my peers, to systemic things like how any black person has always had more struggle than I do- do I even need to mention Gaza atp?

It's really not wonderful to have to constantly deal with what everyone else is dealing with while also having my existence debated on a political level and constantly being at higher risk for being hate-crimed at a moment's notice due to the rhetoric thrown around.
