Down is -Z in Unreal and Blender, too. It generally depends what the most important plane is for the task. In film software, screen space is XY, with Z as depth. In (most) game and architecture software, the ground/floor is XY with Z as height (at least that's what I was taught)

10x10 looks like a more appropriate size to me. Single 8x8 block doesn't really feel like enough ground to stand on, and like the Critter shouldn't really be able to squeeze under that ledge (at least not comfortably).

I'm not really a game dev (more a 3d artist who started dabbling in Unreal) but I figured it out eventually, so I have full faith it'll click with you! A lot of the really powerful parts of the Ability System requires C++ tho, so my usage is fairly simple (I work primarily in Blueprints)

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! ๐Ÿ˜ I don't have any good tutorial recs for Blender, specifically. I know Blender defaults all bones to Quaternion, which never behave the way I expect. Switching them to Euler might help? Also Richard Williams' Animators Survival Kit is a top-tier general anim ref
