"content" is a regular word; pieces of art carry content. but when you use it to refer to the work itself you suggest it only exists in relation to the platform you happen to view it on—merely to fill a space so you have something to scroll by. the medium is netflix, not film, etc

before "content" there was "art style" and not enough people are suspicious of the latter. the idea that artistic particulars are just an interchangeable, contextless layer you slather on products is deeply rooted in the way we think about games.
seriously. back on twitter i liked to use emojis because i thought they had a standardized set across operating systems. then i got an ipad and learned better… now i go to emojipedia every time
also anytime i want to use an emoji while im not typing from the ipad i need to screen it for how hideous it appears on apple systems
i really truly hate emojis for the way they're implemented. you cant godam communicate with little pictograms when you dont know what the recipient is gonna be served. its like if you were texting someone and their operating system were replacing the words in your message with synonyms

reminds me of how ppl got this idea that stages of comic book pipeline involving multiple ppl are like… natural stages of making a drawing that they should replicate when working on their own (and im not talking about when they're practicing to perform in those specific roles professionally)

fun fact is i was not a dinosaur child. like i dont think i could name any dinosaurs until i grew into a dinosaur adult lol
oh yeah, im aware the walking with spinoffs exist! but if there were other disnosaur ones then i totally could've seen any of them. everyone just always talks about walking as the one! but i dont have any specific memories of a scene or something so ill never know!
i only thought now to check them out for a credible pop-sci-communication about what we know about dinosaurs in motion and that's how i learned the live show is done
actually the only things ive seen of either of the series must've been fragments on tv when i was a kid. i have no proof but it's iconic and if there actually (?) is no comparable "wildlife doc" dinosaur programs then i mustve seen at least fragments as a child
i really hope they bring it back at some point with script and puppets and set updated with contemporary scientific knowledge. i read they were doing it over the years incrementally but you cant really reset whatever when you're playing shows all the time
i hope the puppets are sitting somewhere safe and waiting for a revival
