Law professor here: Things are F-U-C-K-E-D up.
You're fun at my kind of parties.
And it bears eternally repeating that Gitmo didn't achieve the thing it was supposed to -- swift, efficient justice. KSM's case, which might have taken five years in the regular justice system, is still ongoing.
All I've got to say about the Superbowl is 1) E-A-G-L-E-S; 2) We knew Kendrick Lamar is the GOAT, but now he's also the greatest hater of all time... Drake should go into witness protection; 3) If you don't know why Woody calling McConaughey "brother" was hilarious you need to Google that lore ASAP
Couldn't find it when I was sending the message but what to make it easy for you to find, since they're an excellent news outlet: @theassemblync.bsky.social

A lil tip for the folks with shoe polish on their lips today :)
ICCT just published 3 papers on gender and violent extremism today. Research on gender and radicalisation (2014–2024) has grown, focusing mainly on women in Islamist extremism, leaving gaps in literature and practice. The report highlights trends and underexplored areas.

I really hate that for us.
Don't miss this interview w/ @bjornih.bsky.social on how surviving a terrorist attack fueled his drive to create @revontuletintel.bsky.social and do the lifesaving work I am so lucky to be part of. It's devastating, chilling, inspiring, & hopeful. Makes me proud to call him my colleague and friend.
My concern is not the PF themselves. It's the fact that Wilmington has become something of a "safe space" for hate/conspiratorial ideologies & groups. We need ALL local politicians to denounce this behavior instead of tacitly or, in some cases, explicitly supporting it.
I don't get on often but I do get mentions! :)
We are closely tracking the situation at Rainbow Bridge. As investigations continue, new facts will emerge. We will wait for facts before drawing conclusions, and so should you. We have seen the harmful impact of speculation in the immediate aftermath of attacks before.
So honored to be included on this list of BRILLIANT folks! Thanks, @alessandronai.bsky.social!!!

Spoiler: The reasoning was bullshit.
You know, my evangelical upbringing was probably a huge influence on why I'm so opposed to torture. Because I actually read the Bible and understood the assignment. The fact that no one else seemed bothered is probably a huge reason I left, too! I'm so much happier/healthier as an atheist.
YES. Research shows that when the media flipped, so did public opinion... And it happened FAST. When a government tortures because of terrorism, the terrorists win.
Angelo John Gage, a neo-Nazi who recently started using the name "Lucas Gage" and whose Twitter feed is a constant stream of antisemitism and racism, says he received his first payment through the platform's revenue sharing system.
It's was $165.52 — not much, obviously. But it's also not nothing.
Right? Seems like another lifetime. Pre-9/11 this was pretty damn common!
Aww, thanks my friend!
