Slough Town 1-3 Macclesfield: Silkmen progress in FA Cup Macclesfield beat Slough Town to progress to the third round of the FA Cup for the first time.

We are into the 3rd round of the FA Cup - exciting!

Good memories of 3rd rounds a long while ago, particularly seeing Shevchenko/Lampard etc in a 6-1 loss at the Bridge. Our GK got sent off (Shev simulation) and we didn't have a sub, so captain CB went in net :)

So far 2 of my players are suspended for GW16: Calafiori & Schade. It could be 3 if Muñoz joins them tomorrow.

Plan 1: play free hit & ignore losing value on Semenyo/Mbeumo etc.

Plan 2: transfer out Calafiori -> Timber, Schade -> Neto (or similar) & bench Muñoz for Alderete

Football things that irk me:

1. When a player does something good (but not great) and then proceeds to madly wave their arms to gee up the crowd.

I always feel like saying: "If you'd actually scored instead of missing the target, you would have earned my applause. Do your job and I'll do mine."

As a neutral I'm rooting for them!

My #FPL team's solitary Saturday return comes from new addition Bruno number 1.

And oddly Haaland outscoring Salah by 2 points still counts as a win, right?!

Doesn't look/sound too bad on paper, and yes they are still top of the league. But it's not even Christmas and I just can't shake the feeling that they've already messed it up.

When peeps say "good decision, bad outcome" what do they mean exactly?

Person A: "Haaland got an xG of 1.54 vs NEW so it was a "good" decision to captain him."

Me: "Err....no it wasn't. He got 2 points."

Surely any assignment of "good/bad" should ONLY be measured by the outcome.
