It’s a weird thing… how did that expression ever get started?

What can I say? This spotted owl was 7 weeks old, not nearly time to learn to read. It was so curious about me I thought it was going to land on my head but instead it landed on the sign and studied me so long it finally fell asleep.

It depends on the climate and household. If it’s snowy or muddy, people take them off near the front door. If it’s dry and warm, they might not. I’ve had guests who are allowed to wear shoes indoors for medical reasons (e.g. neuropathy protection). But mostly in my dual household we take shoes off.

I am glad you walked away and are free.

I haven’t spoken to my cousins in years. They still seemed to be following the church into their 20’s. My mother keeps in touch with them, though. I am kinda the black sheep of the family.

I can only imagine how impossible a situation it would be on a child growing up autistic and trans.
