(rambling now) sketching with just pencil is weirdly straightforward and generally im not needing to redo much, but the instant i pull out the pen stuff gets more difficult to do— at some point ill need to do pen sketching exercises again, but for now ive just been trying to get back into the groove

A sketchbook doodle of a Circuit Breaker (from Toontown Corporate Clash) looking somewhat disgruntled. The underlying sketch is visible, and the lines are very sketchy and loose. The color that is there is fairly bright/saturated, adding some basic shading/value.

rough doodle from last night— havent been drawing much lately, but ive tried to wear my wrist brace whenever i do for the sake of practice. this isnt as clean as past works, but im happy that my ability to control my pen is getting better

i wanted to mention if you want a pixel art program for windows that's free, i recommend GraphicsGale! i've been using it well before it became free. it's fairly simple with some quirks to learn, but still pretty solid imo!
