My jaw hit the floor this morning when I saw a FRONT PAGE obituary for Marilyn Hagerty in the NY Times. She was the food writer at the Grand Forks (N.D.) Herald. But when I worked there she covered the "people" beat. In a state of fewer than 800,000 people, I'll bet she knew every last one of them!

There were several fires the same day that consumed an estimated 2.7 million acres in Michigan.

Aha! I am always looking for ways to speed xfer and processing of hockey photos, so... Hummm. Some experimentation may be in order this fall.
