Worked in Middle East & Africa in secure military communications. Jumped out of the rat race in 2001 moved to Cornwall 2 years later and took on a smallholding. My wife and I started a couple of businesses which got far too big so now I'm retired, sort of!
Not forgetting that Putin's military have all suffered about a million casualties in the last 1000 days.
The output of Russia's refineries is now down about 50% over the last 70 days!!
Meanwhile Putin's top generals telling him that his fustercluck against Ukraine is going swimmingly.
Because TA is making a like for like comparison. Just go with the flow.

10.10.2025 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Surely the West can also play this vandalism game against the Russians. Actions to ground the ghost oil tankers would be a start.
10.10.2025 16:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I do notice that the Telegraph and Times are now pushing the Tory narrative rather than Reform, particularly after Badenoch's better than expected Tory Conference. The Express and Mail however continue supporting the Farage bollocks. I'm not convinced Reform will retain their current lead.

I can't think why the Orange Idiot wasn't selected!!

I share your concern, but navel gazing is not the answer. There will always be risks, however doing nothing is not the answer. That plays into their hands.
10.10.2025 09:14 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Europe may well stiffen its resolve, but until drones and intruding aircraft are destroyed, intrusions will continue. Firm action is all that Putin understands and genuinely fears. He and his supporters have been getting away with testing the West for far too long. Actions not words from now on!!
10.10.2025 06:22 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If the Nobel Peace Prize is given to the Orange Idiot today, then what little credibility it has will be lost forever.

09.10.2025 22:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As is now well known, the Ukrainians were the brains behind the Soviet Union. That's the motivation behind Putin's fustercluck back in February 2022. Well now it's all going to shit and a good job too!!
09.10.2025 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is only one solution to Putin's aggression and Ukraine are doing a brilliant job in achieving it. Every Russian refinery disabled bring the end of Putin closer.
09.10.2025 10:23 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Welcome back. You survived and remain intact. Well done π
09.10.2025 08:18 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The end of a long chapter, the next will be better. Take care.
08.10.2025 07:35 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0the ability to step up and help Ukraine at the beginning of Putin's invasion in 2022 when they needed it most. I suspect this probably resulted in the turnaround in the war and gave Ukraine the breathing space to counter Russia's attacks. If the UK was in the EU back then, Ukraine could be gone!
07.10.2025 22:36 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I have to agree. Allowing populist Putin supporters like Orban and Fico stop the EU from progress with their veto is a ridiculous situation to be in. Such situations should never be allowed to arise. Whatever one's views on Brexit it was the independence of not being an EU member that gave the UK
07.10.2025 22:36 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0on us all. The time has surely come for Europe and the UK to grow up and stop fighting like kids in a playground and work together for a common cause. Forget Trump, he's not worth the effort and concentrate on helping each other and that starts with ensuring Ukraine defeats Putin and Russia.
07.10.2025 17:52 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0when we should be giving Putin a bloody nose. The UK has many faults, but so does the EU. The EU refuses time and time again to consider changing the way it operates giving people like Farage and Le Pen and other populist movements within Europe a great opportunity to impose their brand of fascism
07.10.2025 17:52 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0to Europe+ which does include the UK, Canada, Australia, etc. No matter if one voted Remain or Leave in the Brexit referendum, now is not the time to beat each other up and blame the UK for the actions of Trump, VDL, Xi Jinping. We are collectively giving Putin a wonderful birthday present, just
07.10.2025 17:52 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One could say that it is quite understandable that the EU should impose a 50% tariff on imports of UK steel, after all the UK has left the EU. However this does little to encourage the UK to help the European defence from Putin's Russia. Getting involved in Trump's tariff war is surely detrimental
07.10.2025 17:52 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Perhaps it's best if we allow Trump to fail his bid to win (or steal) the Nobel Peace Prize first before asking for any commitments from the Orange Idiot. He's going to be even more unbearable after this Friday. Hamas know this and will do all they can to ensure Trump fails yet again!
07.10.2025 13:11 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0the end. When it does, I predict Ukraine to become the key member within the EU and NATO.
06.10.2025 17:03 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As ever, many thanks TA, particularly as you have other things going on at the moment.
The final outcome, when it happens, could be volatile and is bound to be unpredictable. Maybe that's a good thing in some ways. As long as the Orange Idiot doesn't get involved, it should work out very well in
Right now it seems incredible that Merkel lasted so long, let alone being elected in the first place. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!?
06.10.2025 16:52 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I totally agree with you Dude. She comes from East Germany and Putin had a lot of involvement there before the wall came down. Probably old workmates!!π
06.10.2025 16:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whatever happened to the telephone!!??
06.10.2025 11:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Merkel also managed to find a connection between the beginning of full-scale aggression against Ukraine and COVID pandemic. Due to quarantine, EU leaders could not personally meet with Putin and find compromises with him.
