Meet Mo, Isotopes Intern at one of our #BSW26 #SmashingStereotypes partners, Urenco.

Mo's family are medics but he didn't want to follow that path exactly - he kept his options open, took a chance, and found an exciting opportunity in a growing industry:

"There's more to STEM than being in a lab..." Fab to see this promo short for #BSW26

Yes, there's awesome lab work going on in #science, but SO much more besides. Taking science of all kinds out into the world & engaging with its relevance to people's lives is a tremendous experience too.

Exciting to see these stats from #BSF25 - over 17,400 visitors, 114 events and 95% enjoying the Festival! We had a great time hosting our 'What the Phage?!' stand, and talking to visitors about #phage and the work of our Hub to advance #phagetherapy for respiratory infections in people with CF.

Even through people value the benefits that new tech and scientific advances may bring, the survey shows that the public are sceptical about the benefits of AI, and they're concerned that the speed of developments may outpace consideration of risks and the ability of government to control them.
