I know many things are awful but here is one genuinely useful and helpful thing you can do. No matter their party, your representative needs to hear that trans people and our families are not alone and this bill is an unjustifiable and extreme threat to criminalize the health care we need to live.

If you live in the US, bully your fucking representatives and tell them that Section 230 must be protected and not repealed. Repealing Section 230 would cost the economy up to $50 trillion.

i think part of the reason both liberal allyship and queer politics are so often utterly useless in the face of the continuous onslaught of transphobic lawfare is that they believe that explicitly transmisogynistic efforts designed to isolate, underclass, and kill trans women+girls as the conduit to do these things to all other women and trans people can somehow be fought by doing anything else except supporting and fighting for the "icky" trans women and girls being targeted, or understanding the precarity of the social position from which this arises. just a series of endless gotchas and spelling mistake corrections and empty words
