I’m a sci-fi geek and read all her Shikasta series (repeatedly, as they’re dense and nuanced I I got more from them on each reading) which led me to her contemporary fiction. At first she seemed quite left for this rich white kid, but she changed much of my perspective in life, for the better.
So… Iran is decimated but still capable of causing chaos in the Strait. Got it.

Canada is so much more than syrup and chips. We have a much different philosophy when it comes to our neighbours, and are prepared to make sacrifices in our own lives for the greater good. Decades of democratic socialism have embedded it into our souls.
Sometimes with all the insane shit going on in the world, mostly caused by Trump, I wonder if I’m in a hospital somewhere (Canada, obviously), in a coma, and this is all a feverish dream.
