We’ve got to remember, it’s a long season, lots of competitions, so hopefully lots of rotation. Add in probable injuries- there will be plenty of game time to go around!

I was more gutted about Gibbs-White.

I wouldn’t start Eze ahead of either of these two. Hurts now because of the immediate injury issues, but don’t think dropping the bag on Eze was the right move (only one year younger than Madders, and a Gooner). Spend big money on a talent who WANTS Spurs, and who has best years ahead of him.

Although, on reflection, minutes off the bench should really be where he is at career-wise right now. Last year May distort perspectives on this I’d imagine!

Barca do it regularly with their academy players… I can’t believe it’s purely down to them having “better” players coming from the youth teams!

Happening with Moore, but what about the likes of Abbott and Donley? I just can’t see fans/upper management having the patience to give these guys a proper chance. I hate the lack of “one of our owns” in our squad at the moment, and in the England team.

How does our next academy star cement their place as a first eleven player? Do we need to second string European competition for them to light it up regularly in (like with Kane) for us to feel their ready, or do they need an explosive loan move like with Vuscovic? I can see this possibly…
