everyone knows all the real weird stuff goes on up Fotherby Common - there's an astronomy club that meets on Red Hill every new moon too - well mysterious

east of town crossing the big fields red and brown everything smells red and brown five miles - a crude drawing then another five miles

29/7/25

A steady diet of cherry pop and potato snacks kept everyone on an even keel ... mostly

Had a few nights off shift so it seemed only right to stay up and hold court with friends - that and the young uns were fair wired so quiet time didn't hit till after midnight..

Had the Richardsons camping in the garden for a few nights with their wee goblins - good/exhausting time had by all - grown ups stayed on the kitchen lash till gone 4 3 nights on the trot...

A fine new moon just to the right of the spire with the washing line of whites and the bunting I made the other day that says Poltergeist in the foreground - back on the drawing regime tomorrow....

Meanwhile - some good moon action right now

garden's looking good lime green grass / lumps of flint n shadows the washing line with pegs of all colours it's hot but not unpleasant there now follows an intermission no drawings for a couple of days ( got visitors! )

small hours big time in local marshland - night jets make the sound of black circles over a roadside monument an unfamiliar star is rising at the bottom of your street

B roads - Lincolnshire late July - a wet morning between squalls / shiny tarmac a red gable in green boundaries slate grey and fresh a lumpy field with murk

small hours big time not sleeping - weird stars and weather forever minutes as divisions on a civil war battlefield a black dog is let out 3am Thursday morning

the moon and Venus at half 3 this morning from a window at work it's wobbly but shows the earthshine and the end of astronomical twilight I'm back on shift overnight so will be keeping my eyes on the sky if possible

well I was on shift last night and at half 3 the moon and Venus put on a right show - my wobbly photograph serves as evidence

small hours big time half 3 - a sliver of moon with earthshine over re brick cul de sac of midlands town and that's Venus right there rolling up the angle of houses
