Homelessness: 'Unsustainable financial pressure' on NI services, says report Dealing with temporary accommodation demand cost almost £39m in 2023-24, according to a report from the NI Audit Office.

Homelessness in Northern Ireland is worsening quickly.

A recent report found a 176% increase in demand for temporary accomodation over the past six years, and an 81% rise in the social housing waiting list.
