i always just use word count to dictate what i’m feeling in the moment, if i just want a small slice of life but see a great slow burn i’ll save it for when i feel more up for it. the word count doesn’t matter, there will always be a moment for a fic of whatever size.

the fact that arthur knighting non nobles (which his father would never do) got him killed while morganas bitterness and willingness to do anything to get her way (sounds like someone) is what lead to hers
the pendragon siblings are so tragic, both of their hated towards their father is what lead them to their deaths. arthur was very self aware tho he did everything as to not become his father. while morganas hatred blinded her and lead her down the same path she so despises
