Dominic Cummings, in an earlier incarnation, ran a secretly-funded 'think tank' dedicated to attacking the Beeb while Robbie Gibb glided effortlessly from GBNews to the BBC & started lecturing staff on impartiality. Imagine (cos you'll have to) how the 'left-wing' equivalent would be reported.

In 'How They Broke Britain', I do a pretty good job of detailing the depth & breadth of Tufton Street/Tory/Murdoch/Mail attempts to scupper the BBC, even as I castigate some presenters for going too easy on precisely the people who seek the Corporation's abolition. But I should have done more. 1/2

Petition: Do not introduce Digital ID cards We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

Labour on form I see. 2.7 million people sign a petition saying "do not introduce digital ID" and the first words of their response are "We will introduce digital ID within this Parliament". Labour aren't listening. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73...

A suggestion for UK Parliament. Before passing any new law, consider plausible worst case scenario for how a future Reform government would use it. Then start to review existing laws. And if you donโ€™t, donโ€™t complain when it all goes wrong (assuming that government hasnโ€™t locked you all up)

Safer and more welcoming spacesย โ€“ Iโ€™ll drink to that I wrote this follow blog before the news was announced that The Great British Festival (GBBF) would be no more. It has been well over a month since my experience at GBBF and with those terrible scaโ€ฆ

I wanted to recap what happened after GBBF and assess what we can do to make festivals, events and venues safer and more welcoming spaces.

Thanks to the amazing people in beer, whisky, gin and music to who shared thoughts, learnings and resources.

Probably the most important but neglected scandal about Mandelson.

Epstein was close to Peter Thiel. Thiel had secret meetings with Cummings and Johnson before Palantirโ€™s 100m contract

Mandelsonโ€™s Global Counsel was pitching Thielโ€™s Palantir to Starmer.

What a carousel of cronyism

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

Dispelling harmful misinformation about M&S 'trans' bra fitting row Dangerous misinformation over an M&S 'trans' bra fitting story is spreading online; here's what we actually know.

The moment I saw that "trans bra" M & S story I sensed it was nonsense.

Seconds later, having read the Telegraph piece I knew it was worse than that. It was deliberate hate mongering completely devoid of evidence, names and facts.

Superb job of debunking it here

We must get online safety right! Lord Clement Jones and I have written a letter to the Secretary of State regarding our concerns about the implementation of the Online Safety Act, calling for a cross-party committee from both Houses of Parliament to ensure effective implementation.

Itโ€™s been obvious for some time that Muskโ€™s platform is deliberately & dangerously hideous. There is nothing to stop politicians, up to & including the government, removing themselves from it entirely. Their every utterance would still be reported, regardless of how it entered the public space.

๐Ÿšจ RIGHT NOW opposite Labour Party HQ in London.

Weโ€™ve turned their street into Jabaliya camp in Gaza. A genocide is happening, but the Labour government is supplying weapons, intelligence and diplomatic cover to the perpetrator. Protesting this is not terrorism.
