03.03.2026 21:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I particularly resent rags like Daily Mail gleefully reporting Trumpβs bullying of Starmer. Itβs disloyal and hypocritical - theyβd be screaming from rooftops if U.K. meekly followed European diktats, yet would have us unquestioningly kowtow to Trump. Starmerβs task is incredibly difficult.

He's dammmed if he doesn't, and dammed if he does..
No luck and a right wing press.
I may have my frustrations and disappointments about Starmer as a domestic politician, but internationally, I think heβs serious, responsible and trying to do his best for U.K. in unbelievably complex intβl environment, despite treasonous ghouls like Farage doing their best to undermine him.

Amongst other comments Trump says he's "disappointed with the UK."
Then Trump disparagingly says of PM Starmer " This is not Churchill we're dealing with."
Well Mr Trump, you're not exactly Roosevelt either, are you.
Precisely! More than that, most Brits despise Trump, and will want Starmer to resist his bullying. By contrast, Farage and co will lose support tying themselves so sycophantically to Trump. Iβd call this a win-win situation!

Being rescued by the taxes they moved to #Dubai avoid to paying.
Irony is off the scale....
If their express reason for moving there was not to pay tax, then surely Britain should charge them for repatriation flights?
02.03.2026 11:12 β π 523 π 32 π¬ 14 π 1Nigel Farage lied multiple times at his press conference today - including saying no-one who voted Green in Gorton and Denton has a job and he's "certain" Reform won most British born voters in the by-election, based on zero evidence, and yet not a single journalist there pushed back on them

Any voting irregularities should be investigated. Itβs a really important issue
But the idea that 4k+ votes were βstolenβ is Trump level nonsense
V worried British media could end up in same place as US, legitimating βstolen votesβ claims by parroting BS lines from Farage and Co
Do we stand by forever, as Iran oppresses its people, exports terrorism, and weapons to rogue actors around world? Many Iranians have longed for such an intervention. I would love to see the regimeβs demise. But, I question the motives behind this attack, and fear how it will turn out in practice.
28.02.2026 22:32 β π 74 π 5 π¬ 3 π 0I watch events in Iran unfold with dread. My concern is more the practical consequences than legal niceties, because, letβs face it, Iran is a serial violator of every UN standard, a menace to the region and its own people for decades. The UN has been unable to uphold or enforce its own charter.
28.02.2026 22:32 β π 55 π 5 π¬ 3 π 0Itβs an illegal war, launched by men (Trump, Netanyahu) of flawed character and questionable motives. I certainly would welcome collapse of the hideous Iranian regime, more freedom for its people, and greater security for the region. But, such interventions always have unpredictable consequences.
28.02.2026 22:23 β π 175 π 43 π¬ 10 π 1It seems many folks don't understand that this war won't end up being good for Iranians, either. I'm not just talking about all the kids who've died already. Look at Iraq. Or Afghanistan. Hell, Trump invaded Venezuela and left a dictator in charge. He'll ensure Iran is run by an autocrat he chooses.

Iran is an bad actor on the world stageβand it would be better if it were a democracy. The same can be said of Russia, China, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries no Trump fan wants us to invade and send our troops to die in.
Never apologize for opposing this war.

π΄ Naz Shah MP on Gorton & Denton Claims: 'How Do Supposedly Sectarian Muslims End Up Voting for a Radically Progressive Party with a Gay Jewish Leader?'
The MP for Bradford West told Byline Times: "I know what clan-based politics looks like, I have a history of fighting it, this isn't what this is"
This is very odd framing from Starmer. Half of Labour's vote in Gorton and Denton just went to the Greens. Saying they've all been duped by extremists isn't going to help

Indeed, they didn't read the room. People are genuinely fed up of the clarion call of "migrants, migrants, migrants", its getting so monotonous now. They tried to play it as if it is them versus the Greens, nothing was further from the truth.
This is about the direction of political discourse.
Labour must listen to its traditional base. Rejoin EU, prosecute corrupt water, energy and Post Office execs, Leveson 2, Hillsborough Law, sack BBC board. Ignore the rabid right and return to why they were elected.
