Big Al is an Allosaurus jimmadensi, a theropod dinosaur from the Jurassic period. He died as a teenager, mainly from a raging foot infection from a bad fall, but also had multiple injuries such as broken ribs.

Dinosaur people may recognize him from Walking With Dinosaurs' "The Ballad of Big Al".

Big Al, a demonic-looking Allosaurus with an emaciated black body, red bruises and crests, and a blistered red foot.

The remaining enemies are shown: The Croacher (a red-clad gunslinging dinosaur poacher), the red-headed divebombing pterosaur Xericeptor, the frilled, beaked, golden-bodied Udanos, the ferocious, green, Dilophosaurus-like Lilystern, the drill-shelled cephalopod Underceras, and the green-clad Pectinoid maid Bernice. Also shown are cards of the aforementioned enemies, which provide various benefits to the player.

In the grassland is the Kingdom of Maastrichtia (every player's starting location) and Count Gideon's Mansion; in the desert is the Oasis Kingdom of Cheirus and the Port Town of Interia; nearer the desert is the Tower of Shale, and in the Tundra is the Fortress Kingdom of Pleistocia and the Port Town of Dania.

Pages describing the manner in which players organize a party and accept quests at an Adventurer's Department. Most matters relating to these are handled by Coco the secretary, who wears a Quetzalcoatlus-shaped hat. Also shown are various hotkeys.

Maastrichtia Online's story: Your player character is finding a way to stop a large meteorite, Solisocassus, from destroying their hometown, the Kingdom of Maastrichtia, after its King decided to do nothing to stop its destruction, as he deemed any effort to avert the disaster too expensive. An illustration is shown of a guard atop a Maastrichtian castle watching Solisocassus fall from the sky at sunset.

Three races are shown: The tanned, survivalist Kromagnons, the sharp-toothed, lizard-tailed, easily-excited Pectinoids, and the fair-skinned Gatherers. Three of the classes are likewise shown: The singing, microphone-carrying Idol, the gunslinging Courser, and the pickaxe-wielding Excavator.

The three remaining classes are shown: The dinosaur skull-wearing, fossil-reviving Archaeomancer, the baton-wielding Guard, and the bespectacled, chemist-like Expert. Three enemies are also shown, being the green or brown salamander-like Caco, the nasty Hyner (a large fish that can crawl onto land), and the Icetodon, which resembles a mammoth in a block of ice with only its tusks, trunk and feet visible.

Back in the day, I played an anime MMO called Maastrichtia Online. It wasn't as popular as Ragnarok or Gaia, but it had its fans, including me. Sadly, it shut down since it was getting too costly to maintain the servers.

In Museum of Madness, you are either a Guard, tasked with stopping trespassers instead of the prior human security, or the human Patrons, who visit after hours for various reasons - burglars, disgruntled ex-security, or cops investigating disappearances there.

Here's bios on three such Guards.
