Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.

In Super Mario Sunshine, there is a small plant in Gelato Beach that raises a staircase when sprayed with water. In the files, an unused, presumably corrupt animation for it exists that shows it slowly stretching in an unsettling manner.

A sprite edit of Dr Wily and Gamma added to elements from the Earthbound final battle. Gamma's smaller head is added to the front of a fleshy gray spider mech. Dr Wily is inside the capsule in place of Pokey, and Gamma's giant head is filling the space in the center where Ness' face originally was in the center of the machine. This is one of my favorite edits from the original HalloWily run years ago, it looks so cool.

"Fresh", sealed copies of Super Mario RPG actually have a unique title screen. This screen is lost permanently on that cartridge after playing and saving just once, and can not be restored without tinkering with the cartridge or waiting decades for the save battery to run out.
