Daily flowers post #3: common violets (viola sororia)! A lovely touch of spring. Even with so many plants starting to bloom, these are always among my favorites.
Hey cuz!!
Daily flowers post #2: Henbit (also called Henbit deadnettle or lamium amplexicaule)! Yes, I know it's a weed here in the USA. The GREAT thing about it is that it's VERY edible. Leaves, flowers and stem! Boiled, blended, in salads, tea, whatever! It was a bit of a minty aftertaste to me.
I think it is almost time to start my daily flowers! Here is day #1 Glory of the Snow. Chionodoxa forbesii. It is a tiny perennial, and in our area (zone 7 ish) started showing in late March. It will go dormant soon, until next spring.
You betcha. I guarantee mine won't be able to stick around that long without copious amounts of whining.
At 4 I guess there is a "We have no King" rally. Busy protest day.

Apparently this is for 4 PM at the capitol! Peaceful protests to exercise our democracy.
Hey, Nebraska, is this a thing here? Anyone up for exercising our rights to gather?
Testing out how to use Bluesky! Thought I'd start with this meme which I can't claim credit for.
