Day 25 - Favourite World/Setting

Amazing Final Symphony concert in this splendid venue in Liège, with powerful medleys of FF VI, X and VII.

After attending FS2 in Birmingham two years ago, it was my goal to see this one!
Respects to Jonne Valtonen, Roger Wanamo & Masashi Hamauzu for the arrangements, and everyone involved 🙏

Day 24 - Worst Minigame

Blitzball,
however I wish they'd make a stand-alone Blitzball game with good gameplay, characters & stadiums from the whole series or even different Square series. After all they made sports games before, that'd be more interesting than some of their gaas

That one is likely to be the next Treasure game I'll play. I've played a bit of it a while ago and it looked very good

Shining the Holy Ark, a dungeon-crawler exclusive to the Saturn.

Featuring music by Motoi Sakuraba, and the typical Camelot's style for the UI and animations

PARANORMASIGHT was basically my 2023 GOTY, not just for its great writing, visual style & music making for a memorable atmosphere.

But also because it had interesting gameplay gimmicks and ideas for a visual novel, with smart ways to break the 4th wall.
Hope the new one goes even further!

Day 23 - Favourite Mini-Game

Triple Triad, especially in FFXIV since we can play against other players

Trying out the Super Bomberman Collection, just completed the normal mode of Super Bomberman 4.

It's fun and a pretty solid collection (with cute menus, very important point) altho no online mode

Hermit and Pig was released today and it's not even 15 bucks!

I've bought it, will give my thoughts soon, probably not before next week coz I'm travelling this week-end

Culdcept The First (remaster of the original game) and Culdcept Begins (new entry in the series) are also very exciting announcements from the Partner Showcase!

The series is known for blending board game and card game.

I enjoyed this Direct!
Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse is of course the highlight for me, but I'm intrigued about Kyoto Xanadu, Elliot and Scott Pilgrim EX too!

Super Bomberman Collection and the Console Archives are neat, Orbitals looks good, and nice to see Digimon on NS2.

I'm SOOOOO happy, and it's coming only in TWO weeks!!

The first Paranormasight is one of my favourite games this decade!

Day 22 - Most-Played Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy XIV, with something between 16k and 17k hours (unfortunately)

Here's the beginning of Super Tempo on Saturn.
Just with the opening you know you're about to understand the true meaning of peak gaming

The sequel on Wii is one of my favourite Nintendo-exclusive games ever. And likely my fav game from Treasure behind Radiant Silvergun. It's extremely good and deserves more love. Since Nintendo has been reviving some niche IPs, I hope Sin & Punishment could come back in some way.

2025 Game of the Year was released one year ago!

~10 hours into Princess Crown on Saturn, interesting to see the firstfruits of Vanillaware.

Not without flaws but really enjoying it. Beautiful visuals and original combat. Story starts with a young queen going on a journey to discover her kingdom, mostly by short stories which I enjoy.

Day 20 - Favourite Story

FFXI: Chains of Promathia

Easy choice because CoP touched my soul, even if WotG and Shb are also great stories.
Prishe is the best protagonist in the series and the whole cast is fantastic. The story is complex but has funny and surprising moments.

Mother 4... I mean, Hermit and Pig, is releasing in three days!

Yes, same day as DQ7R, but it looks like it's worth your attention if you like RPGs.
It's an indie game, apparently short (about 10 hours long) and looks extremely good especially if you're into Mothers (the games)

Most anticipated game this month! I'm mostly enjoying retro gaming at the moment, but still gotta support Suda51 day one

Day 19 - Favourite Dungeon

I already answered about the NPC so I'm arbitrary replacing the question. I mean, it sucks that there's nothing about dungeons. My favourites are almost all in XI, but I'd go with Ra'Kaznar from SoA, incredible design, aesthetic, music.

Day 18 - Favourite Spin-Off

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers

While the best spin-offs I've played would be FFTA and Final Bar Line, my personal favourite is probably The Crystal Bearers. It's a very fun theme park that I would gladly replay

Silhouette Mirage (Saturn) ✅

Another gem by Treasure!
Silhouette Mirage is an original take on the side-scrolling action genre, with an unique gameplay. Bosses are awesome, the creativity reminds me of Dynamite Headdy in the best way possible. Great music, funny scenes. Love it!

Day 17 - Favourite Soundtrack

Final Fantasy VI

Nobuo Uematsu's masterpiece in my opinion. Each character theme is memorable and contribute to the storytelling, the world map themes are some of the best ever, and everything else is high quality.

The Toaplan Arcade Collection is neat. Been playing some FixEight, really fun run & gun
