I've played Earthion, the new shoot'em up by renowned composer Yuzo Koshiro.

It's pretty fun and has many options as well as a challenges mode. The music of course is great. Definitely looking great for a game made for the Mega Drive!

Sonic just killed my good old Xbox 360. I think this is the last straw for my relationship with this series, it's over for you Sonic

Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2) ✅

Covenant easily stands as one of the very best RPG on PS2. While its gameplay is the highlight, it’s also a very complete game with a story worth your time, and a compelling artistic vision. It’s only lacking a bit more of challenge.

Videogames probably peaked with Resonance of Fate

I don't even think they will bother with it tbh. I'd say Visions of Mana has more chance to get ported to Switch 2

Currently unless you have a PS5 it can be difficult to play the Star Ocean series on modern platforms. They should port 1 and 3 to PC at least!

Done the new Vana'diel alliance raid in Final Fantasy XIV yesterday.
It's still kinda just a theme park of FFXI's BCNMs but was fun. I liked the 2nd boss the most, didn't really expect that one in the raid.

I've got the orchestrion rolls of Gustaberg and Voyager for now. :P

Trails to Azure (Switch) ✅

A great follow-up to Zero! I love the Crossbell duology although a couple of things in the story could've been executed a bit better, including the ending.
But overall it's a great story with likeable characters, gameplay is solid and the OST awesome.

Two new plushies in the house!

The one and only Carby (and with Mass Attack, because it's its anniversary: play Mass Attack, it's great)

And the iconic Mandragora from Final Fantasy XI, which also made its way to XII, XIV and many spin-offs

Yes I really like some of his sports OST, especially Golf 64 and Toadstool Tour. Less popular, but We Love Golf on Wii also had a good one

I've finished Shadow Hearts: Covenant!

A very well crafted RPG, the best I've played on PS2 alongside Final Fantasy XII. Gonna write more about it later.

Since I always need a RPG to play in handheld on Switch, I've started Baten Kaitos two days ago.
A game I've started long ago but didn't go far.

So far the combat is challenging, the soundtrack is awesome and the pre-rendered backgrounds are some of the most beautiful I've seen.

Most likely option is Final Fantasy XVII being made by Creative Studio 2, led by Yoshinori Kitase with devs from different parts of the company (but mostly ex-CBU1 and Luminous Production)

Dear me, I was... is ~40 minutes long.

It's not really a game, but essentially a beautifully animated picture book going through the bittersweet life of an ordinary woman, with a few basic interactions (no dialogue, no choice) and sweet music.

Hard to say more, but try it if you're interested!

I've played the demo for The Adventures of Elliot.

It was okay, it's clearly strongly inspired by Zelda. So far the combat and level-design are fairly basic, but the boss was pretty cool.
It feels a bit slow to play for me, it's interesting, but need more to be convinced.

I've finished Trails to Azure today!

I've found the ending kinda disappointing, but overall it was a great game. I enjoyed Crossbell's story and characters a lot.
The soundtrack was also awesome, seriously what a final boss theme!

Well that was the only new game announced that I'm really interested in... but that's fine!

I was quite upset when they announced a new Katamari game exclusive to mobile, so it was unexpected to get a new one for console. Let's go!!

On this day, 14 years ago, Takeshi Miyaji, the co-founder of Game Arts who directed Grandia 1 & 2 passed away at the age of 45 only.
He also worked on the Lunar and GunGriffon series, and more.

He contributed to some of my favourite RPGs and I'm grateful for the legacy he left.
