Every far-right movement that has ever existed has claimed to have 'legitimate concerns'. The representation of those concerns as an urgent crisis caused by others -e.g migrants- is how they try and co-opt ordinary people. Someone having 'legitimate concerns' doesn't mean they aren't far-right...

This is full-fat fascism from a Labour minister. Legitimising the idea that people seeking asylum represent a danger when compared to any other UK citizen is legitimising the far-right. To say that the government 'hears the worries' is to give credence to fascist conspiracy theories.
